Calm the Looping Chaos of OCD

I offer evidence-based treatment grounded in both clinical training and lived experience. With a focus on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), sessions provide clear, practical strategies that help you break free from compulsions and reclaim your life.

Living With OCD Can Feel Like:

  • being trapped in a loop you can’t break

  • intrusive thoughts that won’t go away

  • constant mental checking, “What if I’m a bad person?”

  • reassurance-seeking, even when you already know the answer

  • exhausting rituals that promise relief but only make the cycle stronger

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

OCD is more than worry or perfectionism. It’s a cycle that takes over your time, energy, and peace of mind. And you don’t have to keep carrying it by yourself.

Meet Ian, your experienced OCD Therapist in Ireland

I know OCD from both sides: as a trained therapist who follows international best practice, and as someone who has personally navigated its challenges. That lived perspective helps me connect with clients in a way that feels safe, grounded, and hopeful.

Focused help for OCD

This practice is dedicated entirely to OCD. Every session, article, and resource is designed to help you break free from intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and anxiety—step by step, at your pace.

  • ERP is the gold-standard treatment for OCD, recommended worldwide. In therapy, we gradually face the thoughts or situations that trigger anxiety while resisting the urge to carry out compulsions. Over time, this retrains the brain to tolerate uncertainty and reduces OCD’s hold on your life. Every step is collaborative and paced to what feels manageable for you.

  • OCD shows up in many forms, from intrusive thoughts about harm or morality, to compulsions like checking, cleaning, or seeking reassurance. Whatever shape OCD takes for you, therapy offers practical strategies to break the cycle. Together, we’ll find ways to manage these experiences so they no longer dominate your time or peace of mind.

  • You can work with me in person at my office in Dublin, or online from anywhere in Ireland, including Cork, Galway, Limerick, and Belfast. Online sessions can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy and give you the flexibility to choose the setting that feels most comfortable.

  • OCD doesn’t look the same for everyone, and neither should therapy. Your treatment plan will be tailored to your specific struggles, values, and pace. While ERP is the foundation, I also integrate other approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), when helpful. The goal is a plan that feels realistic, sustainable, and aligned with your life.
